A Day off in La Rochelle

Today we had our layday before tomorrow the europeans will kick off. And how’s the best way to start your layday right? Of course with having breakfast at the beach! Afterwards we did some core exercises and stretching. It’s interesting how creative you can become when you don’t have a completely equipped gym.

Around noon we polished our boats and made them ready for the races, then we went to the city of La Rochelle and had some nice frozen yogurt and an interesting walk around the city while having some nice international talk.

In the evening we joined the opening ceremony and took a german team picture.

And now back to German:

Heute hatten wir unseren Layday bevor morgen die offene Europameisterschaft losgeht. Das heißt, ich werde gegen Radial-Seglerinnen jeden Alters segeln. Den Tag starteten wir perfekt mit einem Frühstück am Strand und etwas Sport. Mittags wurden die Boote poliert und für die Rennen fertig gemacht.

Am Nachmittag waren wir mit einer sehr internationalen Gruppe in der Altstadt von La Rochelle unterwegs und anschließend ging es zurück in den Segelclub zur Eröffnung, wo wir noch ein Foto mit dem deutschen Team machten.
